A short little story LaLa wrote after a day spent at the Aquarium

TWO-TOED TODD

Two-Toed Todd arrived at the Aquarium fascinated by all he had seen. But Two-Toed Todd allowed himself to be mesmerized by the wrong type of thing. The black fish with electric blue stripes, which no little boy should ever look at, danced just for him and Two-Toed Todd gaped at the fish with electric blue stripes for a long long time, perhaps longer than maybe he should have. All the other children hustled and bustled and clamored and coiled to see the birds with the black and white suits- that weren’t really birds not birds that do fly, but birds of a different kind that might seem like a fish to someone like you and I. Unfortunately for Two-Toed Todd he did not notice the very large and very important sign as he crept up to the edge to get a better look at the fishes he found divine. Two-Toed Todd wanted to take a dip in the steel blue water and dance with the black fish with electric blue stripes that no little boy should ever dance with, especially not before feeding time. Slowly Two-Toed Todd dipped his one big toe into the water that was very very cold. A particularly large black fish with electric blue stripes caught sight of Two-Toed Todd’s big toe and swam around tickling his one big toe until what Two-Toed Todd did not know did indeed happen, and not very slow. The particularly large black fish with electric blue stripes was telling his fish friends that it was all right! And just one minute later was all that it took. To eat all of Two-Toed Todd- even his foot!

Morella travels to the Land Of Nod!

Whats it like in a car with Morella on a road trip to the Land Of Nod Festival? Well I tell ya it's great fun!
Aeryk likes to listen to books on tape, LaLa likes to take pictures of her fellow bandmates with the fisheye setting to amuse herself, Edward likes to eat crisps, and Anastacia of course likes to sleep because she is our Sleepy Girl. Once we got to Land Of Nod we met up with our good friends Jimmy & Sue, Darnel, and RAtty and the craziness really started. Though it rained and rained and rained at the fest the troopers still managed to have a good time. Morella was lucky enough to get to play and we loved every minute of it! Hooray for festivals! Hoorah for road trips! We took some detours along the way like to the bicycle museum www.bicyclemuseum.com , to a bar filled with ships, to navy pier where we rode the ferris wheel, to a tall tall building that we will always call sears tower, & to pierogi fest www.pierogifest.net

We had a great time during Mardi Gras. Aeryk & Edward marched with the Lyons Club on Fat Tuesday and LaLa and Anastacia crashed the march for a little bit. We put together our own costumes, made our own head dresses, and drank our own booze.

Cabining in Mississippi!

I happened to find the best place ever for Cabining!!! Cabining, for those of you that don't know, is what you might do if you are a lady like myself that loves the woods but wants to take a bath everyday. And use a toilet. And sleep in a bed.
So we thought Morella might need a good trip back to nature and thats what we did. Cabining in Mississippi! This is what we look like while out in the woods!

Recording Album & Preparations Involved Part II

Things aren't going as well as we had planned.

We have a sneaky suspicion that LaLa will not be giving up cheese. And she may have been involved in a swimming accident causing water to get in her ear. This cannnot happen.

Aeryk has gone missing with the chains he left behind and a guitar string as our only clues. We fear he may be practicing with his other bands!

Anastacia is not as graceful as we thought. And because she was drinking LaLa's portion of booze she passed out on the hot coals! This did not help her morale or her singing voice. She seems to be very bothered by this event and is not speaking to anyone at the moment.

And Edward is...well lets just say we are crossing our fingers.

Today is the set up day to get all the mics in the right place and zi instruments. But because we decided to play Circle Bar tomorrow we will have to break a lot of it down. Hmmm. If you see a shooting star please feel free to wish on it for us that we complete our album this summer!

We welcome any thoughts on how to keep the band members on the straight and narrow path to victory.

Recording Album & Preparations Involved

This is a formal warning that we will not be playing much in the month of June due to us recording our debut album.

Because of the album which is very important to us-
La La is giving up booze and dairy for the month. Well only dairy on the days of recording because her addiction to cheese is greater than her addiction to booze. That and cheese doesn't usually make her vomit. Although if she ate as much cheese in one night as she drinks booze...hmmm...perhaps. She refuses to try this experiment.

Aeryk will be practicing every day on the piano as he once did when he was just a young lad. Because we will not stand for ANY mistakes. When we unchain him he will only be allowed to watch funny movies to keep him in a good mood.

Anastacia is going to dance on hot coals to remind her that she must hit those high notes! She will also be forced to drink lalas portion of booze as we have to keep some type of balance here.

And Edward is going to make sure that he shows up with drums and drum sticks. We will not accept tree branches that he has been known to use when forgetting his actual drum sticks. Though we love trees and their branches it hurts when he hits the drums too hard and it flies into your unsuspecting eyeball.

That is all for now. Please keep a good eye out for our album to be released in the Fall.
Why so long?
Because in our great city of NOLA the summer is for working or leaving and the FAll is for FUN!
